Gum disease isn’t widely talked about, but can have a significant impact on your life. Patients who suffer from gum disease often feel less confident and fear losing their teeth.
Our office will soon be certified in a unique laser gum disease treatment, the LANAP® protocol.The LANAP® protocol uses a special dental laser, thePerioLase® MVP-7™. This laser uses a tiny fiber about the width of three human hairs in inserted between the gum tissue and teeth, where it targets and destroys bacteria deep within the pockets of the gums. We like this treatment for our patients becasue it does so without affecting healthy tissue. Due to the gentle nature of the procedure, patients typically see immediate results with little to no bleeding when brushing and less bad breath.
Of course, as with any dental procedure, your gums will need some time to recover and heal, but after LANAP® treatment, you can drive your car, go back to work, ordo anything else you like.
We know that there is a signifcant investment in your dental health when you choose to get a dental implant. Sometimes there is a need for infection control or maintenance with dental impants.
The LAPIP protocol is used to treat infections found around dental implants using the PerioLAse MVP-7 dental laser. This will destroy periodontal pathogens causing inflammation.
Like the LANAP treatment, the LAPIP treatment is minimally invasive and does not have a need for cutting or sutures.
This procedure gives hope for hopeless implants.
